VOCAL TECHNIQUES – The essence of Musical Theatre.
Jazzart aim to ensure students can produce a consistent sound throughout their vocal range in both speech and song. Students build a repertoire of as many styles and genres as possible from M.T. Rep to Jazz and blues, classical and contemporary pop focusing on material suitable for the many styles of auditions and castings to be encountered in our careers. ACTING through SONG – The heart of Musical Theatre.
The creative ability to transform lyrics from a page to a story that transports your audience to a level of emotion that transcends the entire script is the art of our craft. Reading and understanding every word in a song, it’s relevance to the story is the true meaning of Musical Theatre. It takes focus and guidance from both peers and mentors to create artists. Acting Through Song separates singers from true artists . At Jazzart our aim is to develop artists of international standard.
